The OS86 thermometer measures temperature quickly and accurately at near or far distances without contacting the surface to be measured. The OS86-LS provides a high quality laser sighting option to pinpoint the area to be measured, even in brightly lit areas. The OS86 provides as standard features: RS232C communications for logging data to a computer, audible and visual alarms, recall of average, minimum, and maximum temperatures, internal storage of up to 70 readings for future review, and adjustable emissivity from 0.10 to 1.00 in .01 steps. The OS86 is a valuable detection tool for preventive maintenance applications such as electrical power distribution, finding blocked steam traps, and refrigeration analysis. It is also ideal for measuring moving materials as well as objects which have to be measured at far distances. The OS86 has a temperature measuring range down to -50°C (-58°F) which makes it suitable for temperature measurements of very cold materials without contacting their surface.
